Giving Opportunities

Committed to Serve…The Hospital and Community

Whether to commemorate a loved one or help with a
one-time donation, the Foundation has options to meet every intention.

Single-purpose gifts may be donated for the hospitals unrestricted use or for a specific purpose as designated by the donor.

Memorial gifts are often given in memory of close friends or family members. The family of the person memorialized is notified of the gift without mention of the amount. Some families appreciate a gift of this nature in their time of grief.

Honor gifts are those given in honor of close friends or family members. The person honored is notified of the gift without mention of the amount. These gifts are excellent birthday, anniversary, get well, or holiday gifts.

A planned gift is usually conveyed by a Will or Trust. A specified amount of cash, securities or property, or a portion of an estate may be given. Many times gifts of this nature are set up years in advance.

A gift to the Girard Medical Center Foundation may take whatever form you choose:
• Securities
• Real Estate
• Personal Property
• Insurance
• Cash
• Endowments for Donors with
Significant Contributions
• Other PropertyAll contributions are deductible for income tax purposes. Your gift may be established in the most tax advantageous manner through:

• Bequest
• Trust
• Outright or Deferred Gifts

Unrestricted gifts provide flexibility and can be used for many purposes in meeting the changing needs of the hospital, as determined by the Board of Trustees. Specific or special use gifts will be applied toward the need category designated by the donor.

Giving Levels

Several methods of giving are available for making contributions to the Foundation, and a significant gift pledge may be extended over a period of time.

Donor Levels
Many donors prefer to donate on an annual basis, which enables them to tailor the amount of their charitable deductions for tax purposes. This type of giving also helps meet health service needs on a regular and continuing basis.
