Job Title: Floor Technician
Location: Girard Medical Center – Girard, KS
Position Summary:
Girard Medical Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to maintain and enhance the appearance and cleanliness of floors throughout our facility. This position plays an important role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience with floor care equipment and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain floors using appropriate methods including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing

Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, and auto scrubbers

Strip and refinish hard surface floors

Vacuum and shampoo carpets as needed

Maintain clean, organized work areas

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures when handling equipment and cleaning chemicals
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous floor care or custodial experience preferred

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
-
Ability to safely and effectively operate floor machines

Strong attention to detail
-
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
