Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Senior Behavioral Health
Girard Medical Center is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Senior Behavioral Health (SBH) team on a full-time or part-time/PRN basis, working weekend night shifts.
The CNA will work alongside our nursing and behavioral health team to provide safe, respectful, and compassionate care to senior patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information as directed.
- Provide attentive, compassionate care while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
- Observe patients and promptly report changes in behavior, condition, or needs to nursing staff.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients.
- Support nursing staff with patient care and other duties within the CNA scope of practice.
- Follow Girard Medical Center policies, procedures, and established safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification required.
- CPR certification required. (after employment)
- Ability to work weekend night shifts on a part-time/PRN basis.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to caring for older adults.
- Behavioral health or hospital experience is preferred, but not required.
