Dr. Chandroutie Latchman is a highly skilled general surgeon at Girard Medical Center, offering compassionate, expert care for both routine and complex surgical needs. With advanced fellowship training in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Latchman is committed to delivering excellent outcomes and personalized care—close to home.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Dr. Latchman completed her general surgery residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York, where she built a strong foundation in surgical care. She went on to complete a fellowship in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio.

At Girard Medical Center, Dr. Latchman specializes in a wide range of procedures, including gallbladder surgery, hernia repair, endoscopy, soft tissue surgeries, and bariatric weight-loss surgery. She and her dedicated surgical team have performed over 170 bariatric sleeve procedures at GMC, helping patients transform their lives through safe and effective surgical care.

Known for her warm bedside manner and clear communication, Dr. Latchman takes the time to listen to each patient’s goals and concerns. She believes in a collaborative approach that empowers patients and makes them feel confident in their care journey.
