Dr. Taka Kido is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced training in laparoscopic and minimally invasive techniques. He is dedicated to providing high-quality surgical care with a focus on patient comfort, faster recovery, and exceptional outcomes.
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Kido earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University before receiving his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean. He completed his residency in general surgery at the Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine, followed by a specialized fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center—one of the nation's leading centers for advanced surgical care.
Dr. Kido’s surgical expertise encompasses a wide range of procedures, with a special focus on minimally invasive approaches that minimize pain, reduce hospital stays, and promote faster healing. He holds surgical privileges at Girard Medical Center, where he performs procedures in our state-of-the-art surgical suites.
Dr. Kido credits his family as a source of strength and inspiration throughout his medical journey.
