Girard Medical Center Foundation Awarded $4,575 Grant from Women’s Health Fund to Enhance Women’s Health Services at Frontenac Clinic.

Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Girard Medical Center Foundation is pleased to announce the receipt of a $4,575 grant from the Women’s Health Fund through the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas. This funding will support the Butterfly iQ3 Ultrasound System acquisition for the Girard Medical Center Clinic of Frontenac, advancing the clinic’s capabilities in women’s health care.
The project, Empowering Women’s Health: Enhancing Care with the Butterfly iQ3 Ultrasound System, aims to improve diagnostic accuracy and provide faster, more effective care. This portable, state-of-the-art ultrasound device allows our providers to conduct precise fetal biometrics and amniotic fluid index (AFI) measurements and monitor fetal heart rate and positioning. With its specialized gynecological presets, the Butterfly iQ3 also enables the early detection of issues like ovarian cysts and abscesses, supporting proactive gynecological health management.
The addition of the Butterfly iQ3 System will serve an estimated 200 women annually, improving maternal and fetal health outcomes and enhancing the overall patient experience. The system’s automation of report generation will streamline clinical operations, allowing our providers to spend more time directly interacting with patients and ensuring a personalized care experience.
