CrawKan Cares Donates to "Smiles from Jamie" Program at Girard Medical Center Foundation
The Girard Medical Center Foundation is honored to announce a generous donation to the Smiles from Jamie program, gifted by CrawKan Cares, an employee-led fund created by Craw-Kan Telephone Cooperative. CrawKan Cares supports meaningful local causes, and we are especially grateful that they chose Smiles from Jamie—a program that holds deep meaning for both organizations.
Smiles from Jamie was created in loving memory of Jamie Rebecca Hallacy, who passed away in 2011. Jamie was a beloved CrawKan employee up until her passing, and her memory continues to shine through this heartfelt program. At the program's inception, it helped provide comfort items and activities for young patients at Girard Medical Center. Now, Smiles from Jamie has grown to award scholarships each year to local graduating seniors, continuing Jamie’s legacy of generosity and care.
With the support of community partners like CrawKan Cares, the Smiles from Jamie program continues to grow and touch lives. This contribution has a direct impact on our community's youth and reflects the compassion at the heart of both organizations.
The Girard Medical Center Foundation welcomes donations in many forms, including memorials, honor gifts, and planned giving. To learn more about supporting Smiles from Jamie or to make an in-kind contribution, don't hesitate to get in touch with Claudia Ausemus at causemus@ckt.net.
Together, we are creating brighter hospital stays—and more smiles—for the children of our community.
