Girard Medical Center Foundation Receives $25,000 Grant to Support Purchase of New CT Scanner

Girard, KS – The Girard Medical Center Foundation (GMCF) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Mount Carmel Foundation Legacy Grant, administered through the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas. This generous funding will support the purchase of a new CT scanner for Girard Medical Center, significantly enhancing the diagnostic imaging services available to patients in the community.

A new CT scanner will enhance patient care by providing faster and more accurate imaging, which is crucial for the early detection and diagnosis of medical conditions. With state-of-the-art technology, physicians will be able to develop more effective treatment plans, ensuring high-quality healthcare close to home. This investment aligns with Girard Medical Center’s commitment to offering exceptional healthcare services to the community.

“The support from the Mount Carmel Foundation Legacy Grant and the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas is instrumental in advancing the level of care we provide to our patients,” said Samantha Guy, President of GMCF. “This grant helps ensure that our community has access to top-tier diagnostic tools without requiring long-distance travel.”
