GMC's Senior Behavioral Health Department Receives $1875 Donation from Craw-Kan Cares
Girard Medical Center is proud to announce that its Senior Behavioral Health Department has been awarded a generous $1,875 donation from Craw-Kan Cares, an employee‑led community fund dedicated to supporting the communities Craw-Kan serves.
Each cycle, Craw-Kan Cares selects a theme to guide its community impact initiatives. This cycle’s focus was mental health, highlighting the importance of supporting emotional well‑being and access to quality behavioral health services across the region.
The donation will directly benefit patients within Girard Medical Center’s Senior Behavioral Health Department by helping fund the purchase of a new patient lift, an essential piece of equipment that enhances both patient safety and staff efficiency. The lift will support mobility, comfort, and quality of care for seniors receiving inpatient behavioral health services.
“We are deeply grateful for the support from Craw-Kan Cares,” said Beth Simpson, Director of the Senior Behavioral Health Department. “This contribution directly impacts our ability to provide safe, compassionate care to our senior patients. Community partnerships like this truly make a difference.”
Girard Medical Center extends its heartfelt appreciation to the employees of Craw-Kan who make this fund possible and who continue to invest in the well‑being of local communities.
