Dr. Scott McClintick Continues Providing ENT Services at Girard Medical Center
Girard, Kan. – In a continued effort to deliver excellent healthcare to rural residents, Freeman Health System Otolaryngologist Dr. Scott McClintick is continuing to see patients at Girard Medical Center.
His ongoing presence provides a convenient option for patients seeking specialized ENT care in Southeast Kansas.
Dr. McClintick sees patients on the last Friday of each month at the critical access hospital, located at 302 North Hospital Drive. He provides care for a variety of conditions, including tonsil and ear infections, nose and sinus disease, and skin cancers.
“I’m pleased and proud to be able to provide our trusted skills and services to Girard,” Dr. McClintick said.
Thanks to the hospital’s centralized location in Crawford County, Dr. McClintick’s clinic allows patients to stay close to home when seeking specialized care, saving them a 20-minute drive to Pittsburg or a 40-minute drive to Joplin.
“Not only is it a huge convenience for my patients, but they also receive high-quality, compassionate, and safe patient care,” the board-certified head and neck surgery specialist said.
No stranger to the Sunflower State, Dr. McClintick regularly sees patients in Parsons, Pittsburg, and Girard. The Kansas native attended the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed both his internship and residency with Freeman Health System. His deep love for rural healthcare stems from his childhood growing up in Eureka, a town of less than 3,000 people located in Greenwood County, about two hours from Pittsburg. His father practiced medicine there for 45 years.
Dr. McClintick offers diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of conditions affecting the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck. Services available to patients in Girard include care for sinus and allergy issues, hearing concerns, throat conditions, and more complex conditions such as head and neck tumors and thyroid disorders.
The continued availability of ENT services in Girard reflects the strong partnership between Freeman Health System and Girard Medical Center. Earlier this year, Freeman Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Michael Zafuta expanded access to high-quality orthopedic and sports medicine care for the Girard community and surrounding areas.
